About

Citation VII

The Cessna Citation III was the first of the Model 650 series of Citation jets, which are mid-sized, high-performance business jets. The Citation III led to the later development of the Citation VI and Citation VII. The first flight of the Citation VII took place in February 1999, and it was certified in January 1992. The Citation VII is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-4R-2S engines with 4,080 pounds of thrust, which allows the jet to operate at higher altitude airfields. Various updates were made in the Citation VII that set it apart from the Citation III, including increased takeoff, climb, and cruise performance, a new Honeywell electronic flight instrument system, and Honeywell's SPZ-8000 autopilot/flight director system.
